A barrel proof Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at around 53% alcohol by volume, poured into the brand's heavy ribbed decanter-style bottle. Barrel proof means nothing has been cut back, so expect a big, oily pour with deep caramel and oak behind it. Good neat with a few drops of water, and strong enough to carry an Old Fashioned without getting lost. The label nods to the Pepper name dating to 1880.
