Frank August's Case Study series goes small and specific, and this third release is a Kentucky straight rye finished in three barrels, bottled at 53.125% ABV. The neck tag carries its own bottle number, so each one is tracked from a limited run. Expect the spice and structure rye drinkers chase, with the extra barrel time rounding the edges. A good pour neat, and a strong sipper to put in front of someone who thinks they have tried everything.
