Del Maguey's Madrecuixe comes from San Luis del Rio and is bottled at 47% ABV from a wild agave variety that leans green, mineral and herbal rather than sweet. It is a sipping mezcal, best poured neat in a copita so the smoke and vegetal notes can open up.
