A 2021 Pommard from Clavelier, a village appellation in the Cote de Beaune made from Pinot Noir. Pommard is the sturdier side of red Burgundy, with dark cherry fruit and a firm earthy frame that stands up to roast duck, mushrooms, or a good steak. Drinking well with a decant now and built to hold for several years in the cellar.
