Excelsus is Banfi's Bordeaux-style blend from Montalcino, built on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown on their Tuscan estate. The 2020 is dark and structured, with ripe black fruit, cedar and a long, polished finish from time in French oak. Decant it for an hour alongside a steak or a braise, or lay it down for another decade.
