This is Banfi's flagship Brunello, made from Sangiovese grown in Montalcino and aged to DOCG standards. Expect dark cherry, dried herbs and a firm, polished structure that opens up with an hour in a decanter. Pour it with steak, braises or aged pecorino, or lay it down for a decade and let it round out. The embossed crest on the shoulder makes it an easy gift bottle.
